This week we introduce you to our incredible cast and take you through some of our tips & tricks for performing and filming underwater.

This week we take a look at how we overcame the obstacles of our 1942 shoot of creating a Spitfire dogfight above and below the water on a low budget.

Dave and Rich head out on location to Hawaii to shoot the first in our series of films ’2012′. As wonderful as that sounds, things didn’t quite turn out as planned.

This week Dave talks you through the processes and technology we specifically have developed in order to shoot underwater. You get the chance to have a sneak peek at 149BC, the final part of the Underwater Realm and how we use submersible speakers, modified radio mics, laser pointers, surface monitoring and a customised Epic housing to communicate with the actors as they run through the scenes on a breath hold.

It’s been a solid month of shooting and a break in the updates. In the first of the blogs from principal photography underwater the team show you how we achieve a number of underwater illusions. From old school matte paintings to fibreglass rocks and silicone seaweed we’ve used a number of techniques to convert a public diving pool into an underwater set.

Dave does a quick walk though of realm house the night before our biggest shoot yet. Get a sneak peek at how the team finish everything off powered by adrenaline and Red Bull and the calm chaos that is underwater film making on a tiny budget.
